Tuesday December 10, 2024

23 days from today is 10 Dec 2024, a Tuesday. Calculations getting closer to a full month, introduces multiple weekends, and 30 days of November become large factors including the day of the week. Since today is Sunday, the calculation could get a bit more complicated if you want to account for business days becuase it's the weekend. We now must add several weekends and, 23 days moves us from the middle of November to potentially crossing into December. I personally care about counting work days so if 23 days from now will need to be readjusted for a fiscal calendar (don’t worry, I calculate it below).

How we calculated 23 days from today

All of our day calculators are measured and QA'd by our engineer. Read more about the Git process here. But here's how adding 23 days to today's date gets calculated on each visit:

  • Started with date inputs: starting point: 17 Nov, Units to add: 23 days, and year: 2024
  • Noted your current time of year: 13 days in middle of November
  • Added 23 days from current day: 17 Nov, factoring in there are 13 days left in before December
  • Did NOT factor in workdays: In this calculation, we kept weekend. See below for just workdays or the 2024 fiscal calendar.

Tips to get your solution: December 10

Tuesday Tuesday December 10, 2024 is the 345 day of the year or 94.52% through 2024.

  • Current date: 17 Nov
  • Day of the week: Tuesday
  • New Date: Tuesday December 10, 2024
  • New Date Day of the week: Tuesday
  • Consider Thanksgiving and time off when counting dates from November.
  • This calculation crosses at least one month. Remeber, this will change our day of the week.

Ways to calculate 23 days from today

  1. Just calculate it: Start with a time from today calculator. 23 days is easiest solved on a calculator. For ours, we've already factored in the days in + all number of days in each month and the number of days in 2024. Simply add your days and choose the length of time, then click "calculate". This calculation does not factor in workdays or holidays (see below!).
  2. Use November's calendar: Begin by identifying on a calendar, note that it’s Tuesday, and the total days in December (trust me, you’ll need this for smaller calculations) and days until next year (double trust me, you'll need this for larger calculations). From there, count forward 23 times by days, adding days from 17 Nov.
  3. Use Excel: Regardless of unit type, I use day calculations here. Type =TODAY()+23 into the cell. If you want to add weeks, multiply your day by 7 and months/years will take their own calculation due to the changing days of the week. To find 23 days workdays, convert to days but use =WORKDAY(TODAY(), [number of days], [holidays]) into the cell. [number of days] is how many working days you want to add, and [holidays] is an optional range of cells that contain dates of holidays to exclude.

23 working days from today

23 days is Tuesday December 10, 2024 or could be Wednesday December 18, 2024 if you only want workdays. This calculation takes 23 days and only adds by the number of workdays in a week. Remember, removing the weekend from our calculation will drastically change our original Tuesday December 10, 2024 date.
