What's the date 30 days from today?

Solution

Monday May 19, 2025

Date Range: 30 days

30 days from today is 19 May 2025, a Monday. Calculations getting closer to a full month, introduces multiple weekends, and 30 days of April become large factors including the day of the week. Since today is Saturday, the calculation could be adjusted for work days. But If you just want the overall days, nothing will change. We now must add several weekends and, 30 days moves us from the middle of April to potentially crossing into May. I personally care about counting work days so if 30 days from now will need to be readjusted for a fiscal calendar (don’t worry, I calculate it below).

How we calculated 30 days from today

All of our day calculators are measured and QA'd by our engineer. Read more about the Git process here. But here's how adding 30 days to today's date gets calculated on each visit:

  • Started with date inputs: starting point: 19 Apr, Units to add: 30 days, and year: 2025
  • Noted your current time of year: 11 days in middle of April
  • Added 30 days from current day: 19 Apr, factoring in there are 11 days left in before May
  • Did NOT factor in workdays: In this calculation, we kept weekend. See below for just workdays or the 2025 fiscal calendar.

Tips to get your solution: May 19

Monday Monday May 19, 2025 is the 139 day of the year or 38.08% through 2025.

  • Current date: 19 Apr
  • Day of the week: Monday
  • New Date: Monday May 19, 2025
  • New Date Day of the week: Monday
  • April is the start of Q2. Counting dates from here will push you further into the fiscal year. (And taxes are due)
  • This calculation crosses at least one month. Remeber, this will change our day of the week.

Ways to calculate 30 days from today

  1. Just calculate it: Start with a time from today calculator. 30 days is easiest solved on a calculator. For ours, we've already factored in the days in + all number of days in each month and the number of days in 2025. Simply add your days and choose the length of time, then click "calculate". This calculation does not factor in workdays or holidays (see below!).
  2. Use April's calendar: Begin by identifying on a calendar, note that it’s Monday, and the total days in May (trust me, you’ll need this for smaller calculations) and days until next year (double trust me, you'll need this for larger calculations). From there, count forward 30 times by days, adding days from 19 Apr.
  3. Use Excel: Regardless of unit type, I use day calculations here. Type =TODAY()+30 into the cell. If you want to add weeks, multiply your day by 7 and months/years will take their own calculation due to the changing days of the week. To find 30 days workdays, convert to days but use =WORKDAY(TODAY(), [number of days], [holidays]) into the cell. [number of days] is how many working days you want to add, and [holidays] is an optional range of cells that contain dates of holidays to exclude.

30 working days from today

30 days is Monday May 19, 2025 or could be Saturday May 31, 2025 if you only want workdays. This calculation takes 30 days and only adds by the number of workdays in a week. Remember, removing the weekend from our calculation will drastically change our original Monday May 19, 2025 date.
