What's the date 15 days from today?

Solution

Thursday May 01, 2025

Date Range: 15 days

15 days from today is 01 May 2025, a Thursday. When calculating anything over two weeks, we’ll need to consider the day of the week. Since today is Wendesday, we'll actually need to start considering the weekend. Two days from now the weekend begins and it could throw off our calculation if we consider work days.. This extends our calculation into multiple weeks and days of the week. Additionally, we’re 14 days from the end of April, so being in the middle of of the month, 15 days will bring us into May..

How we calculated 15 days from today

All of our day calculators are measured and QA'd by our engineer. Read more about the Git process here. But here's how adding 15 days to today's date gets calculated on each visit:

  • Started with date inputs: starting point: 16 Apr, Units to add: 15 days, and year: 2025
  • Noted your current time of year: 14 days in middle of April
  • Added 15 days from current day: 16 Apr, factoring in there are 14 days left in before May
  • Did NOT factor in workdays: In this calculation, we kept weekend. See below for just workdays or the 2025 fiscal calendar.

Tips to get your solution: May 01

Thursday Thursday May 01, 2025 is the 121 day of the year or 33.15% through 2025.

  • Current date: 16 Apr
  • Day of the week: Thursday
  • New Date: Thursday May 01, 2025
  • New Date Day of the week: Thursday
  • April is the start of Q2. Counting dates from here will push you further into the fiscal year. (And taxes are due)
  • This calculation crosses at least one month. Remeber, this will change our day of the week.

Ways to calculate 15 days from today

  1. Just calculate it: Start with a time from today calculator. 15 days is easiest solved on a calculator. For ours, we've already factored in the days in + all number of days in each month and the number of days in 2025. Simply add your days and choose the length of time, then click "calculate". This calculation does not factor in workdays or holidays (see below!).
  2. Use April's calendar: Begin by identifying on a calendar, note that it’s Thursday, and the total days in May (trust me, you’ll need this for smaller calculations) and days until next year (double trust me, you'll need this for larger calculations). From there, count forward 15 times by days, adding days from 16 Apr.
  3. Use Excel: Regardless of unit type, I use day calculations here. Type =TODAY()+15 into the cell. If you want to add weeks, multiply your day by 7 and months/years will take their own calculation due to the changing days of the week. To find 15 days workdays, convert to days but use =WORKDAY(TODAY(), [number of days], [holidays]) into the cell. [number of days] is how many working days you want to add, and [holidays] is an optional range of cells that contain dates of holidays to exclude.

15 working days from today

15 days is Thursday May 01, 2025 or could be Wednesday May 07, 2025 if you only want workdays. This calculation takes 15 days and only adds by the number of workdays in a week. Remember, removing the weekend from our calculation will drastically change our original Thursday May 01, 2025 date.
