Saturday February 08, 2025

9 months from today is 08 Feb 2025, a Saturday. Adding 9 months in the future is usually just counting from May; however, longer calculations will push us from 2024 into 2025. Even if the calculation remains within the year, I usually take note of the 23 days left in the middle of May, to prep for left over days or weeks in the calculation.

How we calculated 9 months from today

All of our day calculators are measured and QA'd by our engineer. Read more about the Git process here. But here's how adding 9 months to today's date gets calculated on each visit:

  • Started with date inputs: starting point: 08 May, Units to add: 9 months, and year: 2024
  • Noted your current time of year: 23 days in middle of May
  • Added 9 months from current day: 08 May, factoring in there are 23 days left in before June
  • Did NOT factor in workdays: In this calculation, we kept weekend. See below for just workdays or the 2024 fiscal calendar.

Tips to get your solution: February 08

Saturday Saturday February 08, 2025 is the 039 day of the year or 10.68% through 2025.

  • Current date: 08 May
  • Day of the week: Saturday
  • New Date: Saturday February 08, 2025
  • New Date Day of the week: Saturday
  • Counting from May shouldn't give you too much trouble. Low number of holidays to consider.
  • This calculation crosses at least one month. Remeber, this will change our day of the week.
  • The solution crosses into a different year..
  • Your date will be a weekend. Consider if you only want workdays in your calculation. Your date will be a weekend. Consider if you only want workdays in your calculation.

Ways to calculate 9 months from today

  1. Just calculate it: Start with a time from today calculator. 9 months is easiest solved on a calculator. For ours, we've already factored in the days in + all number of days in each month and the number of days in 2024. Simply add your months and choose the length of time, then click "calculate". This calculation does not factor in workdays or holidays (see below!).
  2. Use May's calendar: Begin by identifying on a calendar, note that it’s Saturday, and the total days in June (trust me, you’ll need this for smaller calculations) and days until next year (double trust me, you'll need this for larger calculations). From there, count forward 9 times by months, adding months from 08 May.
  3. Use Excel: Regardless of unit type, I use day calculations here. Type =TODAY()+9 into the cell. If you want to add weeks, multiply your day by 7 and months/years will take their own calculation due to the changing days of the week. To find 9 months workdays, convert to days but use =WORKDAY(TODAY(), [number of days], [holidays]) into the cell. [number of days] is how many working days you want to add, and [holidays] is an optional range of cells that contain dates of holidays to exclude.

9 working months from today

9 months is Saturday February 08, 2025 or could be Sunday June 01, 2025 if you only want workdays. This calculation takes 9 months and only adds by the number of workdays in a week. Remember, removing the weekend from our calculation will drastically change our original Saturday February 08, 2025 date.
